Remembering 2006 - Real Estate Wrap up

A quick look back at some of the Real Estate happenings in 2006 In February – the launch of Zillow.com provided the public with resources for home buying and selling “free and on your own terms” - it’s particular gem being Zestimates, an online home valuation tool. Despite backlash from the real estate community, including a complaint filed to the Federal Trade Commission by the National Community Reinvestment Coalition in October, Zillow continues to grow. In early December, Zillow introduced a new service that allows seller’s to post their listings on the Zillow website.

Be careful with Zillow. Condition, finish, trim, upgrades may not be reflected in Zillow. You could loose money with this format for pricing. Talk with a Realtor. The average home sold with a Realtor gives the seller a 15% higher ROI.
